The Diploma of Associate Engineer or DAE is a three years Post-Secondary program of instructions in various engineering disciplines. It includes regular studies having Classroom Lectures, Workshop Assignments, Labs Experiments, Industrial Projects, and Industrial Tours. After successful completion of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE), students can join either BE/BS and B.Tech degree programs or get employment as Supervisor, Foreman, Technician, Sub-Engineer, Draftsman, Chemical/Gas/Manufacturing Plant Operator, Instrument Technician, Junior Instructor or Workshop Superintendent, etc.
The program follows an annual examination system. SBTE will conduct an examination each year, and there are three examinations within this DAE program.
Matric in Science or TSC (Matric Tech.) or equivalent degree from any recognized institution with a minimum of 45% percentage.
The DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineer) Program is affiliated with the Sindh Board of Technical Education and is fully accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Government of Pakistan.

| Students will acquire the skills and knowledge to become a member of civil engineering teams that are responsible for planning, costing, building, maintaining, and rehabilitating roads, bridges, buildings, water distribution systems, and pipelines. | |
| Courses are focused on applying professionalism towards drafting, surveying, construction methods, quality control, inspections, and laboratory testing. |
| As a student, your courses are focused around hands-on practical experience, and lectures are followed up by practical experience. | |
| Your studies include courses in electrical principles, codes, circuitry, control systems, machinery, safety, and installation methods. These will give you the ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot the motor controls and wiring systems that allow businesses to operate safely. | |
| In addition to learning the fundamentals of electrical techniques, students will study power generation from traditional and emerging renewable energy systems, power distribution, and connection to the grid, high voltage, and transfer techniques. | |
| Students gain practical, hands-on experience in electrical fundamentals and specific concepts related to power distribution and control. | |
| You will also be introduced to building construction wiring, industrial automation, and PLC programming. You’ll learn telecommunications, electronics, instrumentation, and how to use AutoCAD. Additionally, you will study Digital & Industrial Electronics. | |
| Throughout the program, particularly in the last two levels, you will obtain the strong technical skills and knowledge required to work in advanced sectors of the industry. |
